ABOUT

The Australian Institute of Family Law Arbitrators and Mediators promotes the attractions of mediation and arbitration as a means of dispute resolution amongst both practitioners and the wider community.  Its Board of Directors consists of representatives from each State of Australia and a representative of the Attorney-General's Department and of the Chief Justice of the Family Court of Australia.
It is the aim of the Institute to provide training to its members in alternate dispute techniques, with the intention of ensuring that family law practitioners are qualified to act as Mediators and Arbitrators in family law disputes.
